c3 heated bar for ktm 500

i have to buy heated bars . do you think i should buy the complete quit thermostat and bars ? were do i plug the hose on the motor ? i see that on yamaha they have nice thermostat hosing but on the ktm 2018 500 it a bit tight whit the fan . how does run those bar on 500 and do you like them , fitment will be tight with fan

also what temperature range you run

Cisco, I have the c3 heated bars, with the c3 thermostat housing specifically for ktm, on my 18 500exc. Mine has fan also. It is fairly tight, but fits. As I recall, feed comes out off thermo housing and return connects to left rad hose. Oh yeah, I have the c3 coolant hoses that help with tight fit. Good setup, works good. It uses a push to connect fittings that work good. Feed line push to connect screws into thermo housing and return line from bars fits into push to connect fitting on left engine to rad hose. That's if you purchase the c3 hoses. Kevin at c3 is a lot of help. I use the 194f? Thermo. I also put temp sensor in rad fin that is in series with fan so fan doesn't run unless rads are about 190f.

i will call c3 to talk about thermostat opening . they offer 4 degree range . 195 is a bit high and 140 is very low . maybe they will talk me about witch application they did that low and that high .

yes the push grip fitting work nicely and they hare tuff . air line in truck application is the same line and super tuff super slim .

195 for sure, its not high at all. You will have trouble keeping the engine temps up as it is typically and you want to run this engine around the 190-200 mark if you can to make the most power and burn off any moisture that gets in the crankcase/oil. Everyone I ride with has the 195 tstats and most of the time we are running around 180-180 degrees.

You want the 194 degree F thermostat on a 4 stroke. They call it 90 degree C. All the reasons GKR mentions above. The cooler stats are more for 2 strokes. On your 500 4stroke, run the hot one!

I installed a huge order of c3 stuff on a new build last year and it's been my favorite snowbike build to date. Finally feel like I'm on a snowbike with everything I want and no compromises. On new build, had one bad push-pull fitting that leaked no matter what I tried and they express mailed it to me over the holidays while they were out of the office. Top notch support from Ty and Kevin.
