So I was looking for a tunnel cooler option for my Mototrax kit. Wasn't having much luck on ebay with shipping to Canada killing the price. So I contacted C3 to see if I could get one of the Yeti ones to fit. Well they told me the Yeti ones won't work, they have the curve. But they could make me any length I like in a 4 inch wide flat configuration.
So I got a 4" x 24" cooler made and mounted it up. My Kx500 has overheating issues doing pretty much anything but descending pow unless the powder is rad deep. So I deleted the left rad and kept the right for now to see how it faired.
First ride was Saturday. Road in was icey with no scratchers and few areas on the side to dip in. I still was battling overheating on the way in but still not as bad as normal. Once I got to the fresh snow though it was a game changer. Climbing steep trees holding steady temps all day long with the thermostat rarely open.
Pretty sure once I get some scratchers I can get rid of the right rad.
Bonus is the tunnel and gas can stay clear of snow from the heat.
Anyways those looking for a tunnel cooler C3 makes a good option and price was reasonable at $300 Cad.
