C & A vs SLP Powder Pro - mounting them up

considering some new skins
looking at some C & A (model undecided yet) and the SLP Powder Pro's
anytime I have used C & A, they have been the BIGGEST PITA to install
they never fit proper and I end up making some type of mod to make them work (this was on my REV Summits)

for those of you who have tried these brands on your ProRide, how was the install?

which did you prefer, the SLP PP or the C & A's??

thanks for your help :face-icon-small-coo

I put C&A MTX's on my pro, was not hard at all to get them on stuck the bolt in and then used a big punch to line up the hole on the other side and then slowly hit the bolt in with a hammer.

my XTXs fit fine, just use the weight of the sled and preload the ski a little to get the hole to line up. tappy tappy with the hammer and done. nice and snug. :face-icon-small-coo

pop's PPs are the same, use the weight of the sled to get the mounts on and fit nice and snug.

haven't had a chance to ride them back to back so I couldnt tell you which ones I like better. I do like my XTXs tho

Did you use C&A's mounting hardware kit?

my C&A MTX's were a pita to install. really right bushing but. they are a far more aggressive ski on the trail tho. float very good. other then the trail manors im pretty happy with them.

Looking at grippers and PP's i realy do not see that much of a difference that is going to really make them handle that much better. but thats just me.

Check out their website for a few pointers(Sled Head 24/7 how to on the home page). They have changed their mounting kits to make the install a little easier. I definitely noticed the difference between my IQ & Pro install kit in the effort to install

Did the same thing on my MTX's. took a little of effort and had to shim a little bit off the bushing washer in the ski on both sides. kinda a pita but finally got them to fit, they're snug, and look nice.

Well i just couldnt do the C & As agiain
Decided to try the PPs
Well i tell you the install was a piece of cake!

Literally, a one beer job, even for me when i tend to always make things harder than they need to be
From what i have read not much of an upgrade over stock but i did want a different look
I really wanted to something funky like my wrap and go one blue and one green......but i chickened out and went white w black saddles and black loops

Super stoked on how it turned out and how they look
heres a crappy iphone pic

dont mind the bars folded over...tried to put a riser on and the stock bolts didnt fit
seems to be the general consensus w this particluar sled....everything is just a lil bit different than the 800's.....
