Need help from any savvy shoppers out there, looking for great deal in Washington or Idaho but will go outside that for the right deal. Prefer 162, 163 but will look at 154,153 tracks. Looking for the best deal on new or demo sled from Skidoo, Polaris or Arctic Cat Mtn. sled. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Call Carl's Cycle in Boise, Idaho... they were working great deals recently on Polaris sleds.

Thanks for the lead, any idea where I should start price wise?

Somewhere between $0 and $15K

Q: That's like saying "I want to buy a Chevy, Ford or Dodge."

A: Go to ABC Dealer, they have good prices on Chevy's

Q: Whats price should I be paying?

Hellllooooooo, I think you are short a few hundred details.

Model: Dragon, Assault, RMK
Engine: 600, 700, 800
Track
and so on
and so on
and so on

You're going to have to do a little research on your own...

As I mentioned D8,M8 or Summit XP(800 only). I am flexible on the other details. I like all the above sleds and for a good deal would be happy riding any one of them.

If you're looking for a deal you are probably going to buy a hold-over 08 or 09 but then you get the problems associated with those years.

08-09 M8 didn't have the power that the 10' has and are heavier

08-09 XP had a few clutch and suspension issues

08-09 Dragon 800 has engine issues that may or may not have been fixed

Good luck.

REtodd just gave you an excellent recap. I like a deal(price) as much as anyone, buy as Todds post shows all the sleds have mechanical issues, so go to your local shops and look over their service department and ask the locals about the service. If you are willing to "take" anyone of the three, then your decision should be made on who will be doing your service work, because god knows you will need them the way sleds are manufactured.

Give Michelle a call at Oregon Trail Sports in Baker City Oregon... they carry Cat and Polaris and I'm sure she'll cut you sweet deal. Check around... you'll find her service top notch, I think her number is 541-523-3500, good luck.

good Deal?

As I mentioned D8,M8 or Summit XP(800 only). I am flexible on the other details. I like all the above sleds and for a good deal would be happy riding any one of them.

What is a "good deal"????????

See I would pay more if I knew I was going to get excellent customer service? But, when you are buying a sled maybe for the first time from a dealer, you should ask what is the service like? What, kind of parts guys do you have? Anyone that rides sleds or just wishes they did? Many important details need to be considered when asking this question "where's the best deal". If I knew I was going to get exceptional service from guys "in the know" I might pay "full retail" for a sled. Just trying to point out helpful things to consider when shopping for a snowmobile.

If you are just looking for lowest price. Start dialing for dollars, ask for the sales manager and tell him straight up the deal. You are buying a sled and not looking for anything else but the lowest figure. You'll know when you found the best deal. Plan on getting hung up on a few times though. Helpful hint... the guy that hangs up on you is most likely the guy I would buy from as he knows what it takes to service a client from start to finish (several sleds later). Why would he waste his time with a guy who is probably not ever going to step foot in his shop again? things to consider.... maybe? good luck.
