Hey guys i am looking at buying a sled deck 7" for my 09 F350 shortbox but i have a L shaped slip tank. Is there anyone that has dont this at all with a L shaped slip tank?? What mods would i have to make to the deck?? I basically want the headache rack to sit right up againest the fuel tank and i would have to leave the tailgate down cause i realize the back legs would probely be sitting on it abit. Any info or help would be great or pics too trevormuzechka6@msn.com thanks guys

Seems like a bad idea to me. If you had a long box I'd say maybe, but in a short box, you're asking for issues.

You would have to use a deck that would be reaching forward from the support to the front of the deck (like a full lotus in long bed mode, except the legs would be on top of the wheelwells) but then you'd have what, 3 feet of bed left to actually support the deck before you hit the tailgate??? no way.

Of the decks I sell & have sold, none of them would work in this configuration. Never dealt with custom or marathon though.

Get rid of the sally little short bed & buy a real truck!!!:face-icon-small-ton

Ya i got rid of the idea know i am building a 4ft wide,4ftlong, 1ft tall aluminum slip tank it will sit under the deck no problem. it will be about to haul about 420L too so should be good. There is no way i can get rid of my short box thoughs long boxes look goofy!!! LOL

Keep in mind which deck you're going to get before you build the tank, they all fit a bit different.

Let me guess, that short bed has spark plugs too huh????:face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-ton

LOL no she is a 09 Ford F350 6.4L with up to an extra 350HP modded up lol:face-icon-small-coo Ya i am going to get the deck first and then do the slip tank. Thanks for the help man!!!

Do you want the tank for your truck or for fueling sleds, moto's, etc?

If it is for your truck, you might look into TitanTanks and just get a bigger tank for the vehicle itself and leave all that bedspace open.

It is for my truck, the place i work i get free fuel so i fill the slip tank and it will get me to revy and back so free diesel!!
