*** Busy Weekend at Blewett ***

For those heading to Blewett this weekend: the grooming is great and new snow every day the last 3 days - BUT:

1) Saturday is the big annual cross country Ski event. It starts at the BeeHive Reservoir below Mission Ridge, heads thru Haney Meadow and ends at the SnowPark at the top of Swauk Pass. You will meet many on X-Skis in moods that vary to a large degree.

2) One of the best local Snowmobile clubs will have an annual event starting Friday evening at the same Sno-Park.

Will be a busy place - HAPPY TIMES........

Sooo... Just how is Blewit? One of my favorite riding areas but I havnt even bothred to head over this year due to low snow? I can just see track shreding rocks lurking under 8" of snow on all the hills. If I'm wrong please tell me, I usualy ride around the willson creek drainage area.

Rode it today (Wed) Parking lot almost full......Seems like 4 or 5" of new on top of a good base? Talked to a lot of happy campers. Saw just a few spots on the way up that look thin......Should be good for the next few weeks...Grooming was great......Snowing when I left....

Dang, that sucks...Planning on doing a wives ride this weekend, guess we will have to think about changing plans. Has anyone been up Taneum or Manastash at all? Any word on the Snopark access or grooming?

Taneum should be good....They quit grooming Shadow Creek a few weeks ago, Cedar Creek was bare in a lot of spots before this recent snow and hasn't been groomed in a long time. BUT, good grooming on the 3330, 119, 3350 and N. Fk. Taneum Creek.

Manastash was bare to Barber Springs and then another 3/4 mile a few weeks ago. Has not been groomed all the way up to Buck Meadows since early Jan...

Might try Reecer Creek and stick to the south end of the Blewett/Table Mtn??? G'luck...

Any intel on Teanaway 29 Pines? Wondering if there's anything left, and no groomer reports on the Wa Parks website....
