Business broke into

So I own/run a little c-store and rental at the Bear River Lodge. I worked yesterday and I spend the nights up here when working multiple days. Well, this morning I woke up early to go up on the mountain and do a little glassing for Mountain Goats. When I drove past the store I noticed the door wide open. I go to investigate and someone had kicked in the door. The odd thing is that absolutely nothing was missing, stolen, or vandalized (other than the door). I am shocked why some one would do this without actually taking anything. Does anyone have any ideas why someone would do this?

My guess would be someone scared em off. Put a sign in the window of your store asking if anyone saw anyone or anything unusual Glad to hear you didn't get cleaned out though!

they might have been testing the waters alittle,checking for a silent alarm?
hopefully they got scared and won't be back.

maybe they were just screwing around and decided to see if they could kick your door in. glad they didnt do anything more and take everything but definatly not something that youd like to have happen

or beer drinker...neither had any missing. I had done an inventory the night before so it was easy to tell that nothing was gone.

I would watch out, my money is on this idiot was checking to see what would happen if he kicked it in, probably sat back and waited for someone to come (cops etc...) with a stopwatch to see how long he would have when he tried it for real.
