Bushmaster thought you might like to see this!

We went up on Fri trying to get to deadman but didn't even make it past the Killpecker burn cause of all the snow. I've never seen this much snow this low. Went up today and it was getting slushy but still a lot of fun and we were the only tracks in.

The movie was taken right at the North Lone Pine picnic area.

Just West of the gates.

Video...watch me fall!

Looks like ya hit it just right:beer; I was tempted to do just that, but hit the ear's instead. It was pretty good too, though a little set-up Sat and Sunday.

WOW!!! Snow looked EPIC for sure!! Better than the ears but I bet the base isn't quite as good.

Ya gotta be careful where you get off the logging roads that's for sure;) Pat's at about 10k' there on the east side trail. Pow gets deep at 10500' on the west, but the base is a bit thin in spots. If ya go back in another 10 miles it gets better. The spring pow is pretty dry there and the lodgepole thick, but jeep road riding the fluff is a kick and occasional meadows;) Colder in those hills too. Cold, dry and windy but a good bet in april/may for light pow close to home. A couple from mid and late April's past.

Gets better past the north fork a few miles up, or go up elkhorn/baldy trail and down in.
