Bus conversion to haul 8 sleds pic

This is my buddies bus we take to the mountains! Dt466 with a custom 10 speed manual and hyd tilt deck for 8 sleds and enough room for 12 guys and gear. Easily rolls 75 mph and 7-8 mpg depending on the wind. People take pictures everywhere we go. It's awesome

What have you done to the inside?

The inside has a twin mattress across the back with storage underneath, the drivers seat is air ride out of a Peterbuilt and there are 6 seats out of a MCI bus that are double wide for two people. There are 3 heaters but we can't run them except on low or it's like a sauna in there.

Long haul from Iowa to the mountains, how is the comfort?
How is it for:
Wind noise?
Drivetrain noise?
I would think being able to walk around would compensate for the bus seats.
I would hate to be the driver, because I bet everyone else is on a party!

We are all old enough to know better than having booze on that long of a trip. The driver has it the best with the lazy boy air ride seat. We always stop to use the truckstop facilities way before we need fuel. The wind noise is worse than the drivetrain noise, but we are going to address that buy resealing the windows this summer. Flatscreen makes the trip go pretty fast! 500 miles between fuel stops is long enough.

I don't have any pics of the inside but we are going to completely refinish the interior this summer, I will get pics of before and after.

If you are thinking about building a bus make sure it has air ride for the rear suspension, springs ride much rougher. Any questions just ask!
