burnt up motor after mechanic replaced oil cable???

Recently had my mechanic at Hoodview Motorsports replace my broken oiler cable...Well it was two days ago. Went to marble mountain today and never even made it to the Lahar before my motor seized up....about a ten minute ride. Anyone have any input on why this would have happened and should they be liable for the repairs???? I'm assuming the cable wasnt adjusted properly and it was running to lean. haven't had a chance to tear into the motor yet. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The only input I can give you is if your going to blame them you'd better be sure it was their fault.

Did you run it on the broken cable? If it broke then i would asssume that was not giving the motor any oil? There should be a spec that is adjusted when you change the cable, mabey have a look at there install to make sure nothing came loose or ? No one wants to be a fault. Good luck!

Same thing happen to my buddys, found out motor didnt seize but a bearing in the crank got nice and tight and locked everything up. I would at least pull the head off and have a look.

I think that if the cable stretches or breaks the oiler will dump more oil , kind of a safety thing.

Well it was not my mechanics fault....Main bearing out and tore the **** out of the whole motor....anyone have a 700 or 900 motor that wiil fit in an o6 rmk????? Trying to save some money
