Man, sorry to hear about that. How did the explosion happen and was it your sled trailer? I'm asking because I have an enclosed and this has been a concern of mine for awhile.

Good luck to you. When you get it all figured out, if you need some one to ride with give me a yell, I'll ride with ya'. I'm good at getting people unstuck (strong back and a weak mind). We live pretty close to each other.

first thanks for all the posts and it was a sled trailer the pilot light blew out or went out on the heater an thr auto shut down did not work and i walked in to make a pot of coffee and hit the little cook stove and it blew up. comes to find out after propane settles for a while 8hrs or so you cant smell it anymore so be carefull with them in trailers. we had used the trailer to camp in an live in during the summer on construction and hunt out of for 6or7 years plus when we went riding in the winter.
thanks for the post dave. an xxl will ride hopfully soon thanks rick

Why could you not just move the stock throttle over to the other side? The kill switch would be upside down, but that wouldnt be hard to fix. Might need a longer brake lever to make everything fit. Gitter Done!

Wow. Can't imagine the pain you went through. Kitchen fire, Deep frier oil hit my feet 15 years ago. 2nd and 3rd degree burns, skin grafts, damn dude. Hope you find what you're looking for.

I have never seen it myself, but have heard of several people in differing situations using twist (motorcycle) type throttles as well. Even on the left side. That way you may not have a conflict with both brake and throttle levers on same side.

I love to work on and solve these types of things especially for people who really have the passion like you seem to. My son is going to school in Helena, if you dont find a solution that works, he could bring your sled back on a weekend and I would be glad to work it over so it works for you. I really love the challenge and am lucky to have the place & tools to do some cool stuff.

This is our first attempt at a shooting rig for a guy that is C-4 total Quad after a swimming accident. He controls the gun with a padded chin joystick (elec over hyd) and fires it through a straw with sip n puff technology. He bagged a buck and a turkey last year not to mention tons of local rodent control trips. This kid could take your ear off at 300 yards with a 204 Ruger.

This is the second one we did for another kid with an upgraded scope camera and a better picture via 9" HD screen

A camera picture of the screen, this was about 150 yards out. Forklift driver had no idea he was the training dummy to get the thing dialed in. LOL

45-50 yards out with unit clamped to a rolling table with a compressed air pellet gun

Just to give you and idea that anything is possible. I'd love the chance to work with ya on this if you end up needing any help. Do you know Goinvertical (Ty) in Harlowton? He's doing some awesome riding and grass dragging with a bad spinal cord injury and more titanium than Terminator. I need to get over that way just to check in, shoot me a pm if I can help. EW

we are going to try and use a old cmx block mill it down and mount it to my proxr brake ***. so the thottle block side tightenes the hole thing up.
yea the pain was real bad but i was in a coma from the 26 of june until the middle of aug so didnt have the worst of it. just unreal what it takes to come back from something like this. but i'm way ahead of were they thought i would be thanks to my family and friends just cant stand the not been able to ride best snow we have had in the crazies and belts in yrs and i sit and wait because of dr.s oh well thanks very one for the help rick

that is a real cool shooting set up glade to see people making stuff like that we need more of that stuff to keep poeple in the outdoors.
we think were getting real close on a new left hand pearch for left hand thottle setups aleast with the open curcuit modles rick

Another great guy to get in touch with (although it is quite a distance) is Tim Swenson in Marshall, MN (used to own Action Sports-now his son Jim does). He has done a lot of work for a family member who was paralyzed in an accident a few years ago. Here is a link to his greatest feat and current project:

Best of luck on the recovery. I think the best sign that you are gonna kick this thing to the curb is your positive attitude!
:clap2:

That track chair is awesome. Great post. I'll be calling them tomorrow to talk about sip n puff possibilities for the controls. Thanks again. EW
