Has anyone come up with a better method to mount the bag? Those who have it probably have realized the current system doesn't work so good.

I like the mountain addiction method however do not have Intel on what hardware they use.....

Ideas?
Pics?

Thanks in advance....

Carriage bolts threw the straps, not removable then though. Can put your stuff in drysacks inside, keep the contents dry but then allows you to easily empty it.

agree, the fasteners suck. i'm just gonna bolt mine on like suggested.

I used carriage bolts as well. I have a socket with me for the nut size and it can be removable if needed but takes about 10 mins. I don't need to remove often so this doesn't concern me.

I find these carriage bolts chew the crap out of the slots. Hate using them every time i remove a rack or whatever always at least one bolt spins and spins and chews and chews.

This how I mounted mine

Hey Jep, love the way you mounted that up- nice work. Do you think that will work with the stock seat? Your's looks a little higher/ steeper angled under there. I'm in the process of buying that bag and want to "borrow" your genius :face-icon-small-coo

Thanks for the pic, and yes that is slick.....

I still want to be able to remove it quick after a ride, so think im gonna search Mcmaster Carr for some hardware I can use????

In addition to the carriage bolts I used I have tossed the idea of getting wing nuts to use which will aid in removal but let me still hold the back more securely.

I was thinking more along the lines of keeping the bag as designed, but actually having it "quick release"!!!!

Gonna source out Quick cam locks, and utilize with "T" bolts. Hoping it will work???

Let me know how those work out. I had thought about something like that but am leaning towards trying wingnuts for a couple of reasons. Easy to grab a wing nut from the store and I know I can get them tight, I am concerned with those as i have had them on some other things and its tough to get them as tight as you want and still use without being too difficult to lock tightly in place.
