I got a SLP air box it works well and it is paid for.

Seems no one makes a good bumper to go with It.

Been looking at the threads even sent email to SLP.

HELP!!

You might be able to run the SLP intake doing a factory 2009 bumper conversion and then hacking and glueing the crap out of the 2009 plastic ... I dunno ....

I wish I had a decent air intake setup that worked with the Treedog bumper and the full SLP pipe for a 2006 900 ....

I can't get anything to fit with that pipe.

With the front mounted intakes like the SLP and Tri-city, your pretty much stuck with the stock plastic bumper.... :(:(

been there

hey man, had the same situation as you hate to just throw a 300 dollar part away. I know it falls under the category of hack but i drilled through where the 3 "front screws" are and ran three stainless bolts through there and added a couple of screws to the side of the bumper to reinforce and i have had great succes up to this point. if you trim the bolts off and touch them up with paint they are barely noticeable.

I'll speak for myself here but I would venture to guess myself along with all the other quality guys out there that have fabbed up aftermarket bumpers for this Polaris design blunder experienced the same strength issues when it came to design. I myself had the Slp air intake and tried to design around it and keep the triangle of strength principal but to no avail. There is just no angles possible to keep any kind of impact strength intact when the front of that sled is taken up by those particular air boxes.
I myself found that I had the best luck with the Timbersled intake, however my partner who actually builds the treedog bumper has had great luck with the fni intake. I honestly think the 9's breath great with the slp intake, the only drawback being if a stick or something goes thru the front screen and let's debris get sucked up into the motor.
Absolutely a tuff decision to make for sure. Its just to bad Polaris has forced us to make it. If I can answer any ?'s please do not hesitate to contact me. As for which bumper?? I think all the options out there for these sleds are fantastic.
Good Luck

Treedog -- Or anyone Got any Pics ?

Got any pics of the Timbersled intake with a Treedog bumper installed ?

How about the Fire and ice and Skinz installed.

The threads don't show too many pics of completed installations under hood

I think that BYO makes one? (Build your Own):D

:D Thats it! Hopefully you have or can get the stock boost box!?
Can't say SLP is worth it as mine was a "takeoff" hand me down and has worked fine in all conditions...but am in process of building a new one with a TCI of about $100 will see if it works as soon as materials arrive:confused:
