Tunnel and Bumper
Did you use 09 running board edges with the 09 gussets? Have a 05 M that I'm doing a tunnel conversion on and was wondering if the 09 edges and gussets will work on a 05. If not I'm getting edges from VE but the cat parts price is better. Thanks

m7 sledhead, just did my 06 m7 w/ the 09 grip edges and gussets, they worked great. I have the cpc snow boards and I just ran the grip edges over the top of the snow eliminators, worked fine. make sure u order steel rivets!!!

Several reports of the 09 gussets breaking. You get what you pay for on the $20 cat investment unfortunately. The most functional and industrial way to attach the small cat gusset pieces is to weld bottom part to edges.
VE much more expensive but cleaner looking, industrial and much more functional than stock.

so i think if u put in all the fasteners and follow some basic fit and function rules u should have no issues with this setup
but there will be the exceptions!! like with anything that we humans do
im sure that someone that rides can break anything
so what
if thats your goal is to destroy so be it

your right thats why if u are going to do the conversion do all of it as i did
rolled edges, gussets, innner support, bumper, and cooler
bdx does make the right parts to fit the 05 rolled edge
dont get me wrong its a great looking part (fit and function)
i just wanted all stock parts so if by chance a part does fail i can go to a cat dealer and get a replacement
