BULLSH** POLARIS (ELECTRIC RELAYS IN HARNESS GO BAD FROM WATER INTRUSION)

Those arent vent holes. Just manufacturing dimples. Not sure if the "C" was on my sled oem or not. One of those relays got replaced under warranty. Maybe Polaris changed which relay they used after a certain point? The single relay by the voltage reg is an "S".

Not sure if the top one (S-R1) is a hole, or if a hole goes through or not (I would think not)... but you people will need to check... and report back.

ALSO... Do you all have two different types of relays... the C-R1 and S-R1 ??

Or is this just an anomaly with CO-2.0's sled?

Checked 3 sleds (2)2016- (1) 2017 Axys here in my shop tonight and all sleds have the Sr-1 Relays Checked all 5 relys per sled

Friend ordered 2 from Polaris before he knew about this thread. He received CR-1's as the replacement OEM part. Interesting.

Polaris is out to lunch on their pricing on these relays.. can you say mark-up??
$2.60 vs $22.50 Polaris part # 4011998

Replacing my (Load Shed Relay) located in the nylon bag over the clutch guard solved my issue. My issue was after pinning it WFO for 3 or 4 seconds all the dash console lights, RPM, etc. would flicker on and off like crazy then the sled would go into what I'm guessing was limp mode. Only hitting 7,300ish RPM. After replacing that relay it's run like a champ without a hiccup for 200ish miles.

I'd tell him to spend the extra $10 bucks and order some of these from Mouser....The SEALED ones (S-R1)

Mouser has sold 180 in 3 days... down to 170 in stock.

Go straight to the source; bypass the middle men each taking a cut

I'm gonna buy 100 and sell them to Polaris :face-icon-small-hap

If you were serious about buying in large quantity; You should bypass Mouser (America) altogether and get them straight from the Mouser (or other) wholesale house in China for about 20 cents each. When I've been searching for parts for my TSS bypass and other electrical items. If you keep scrolling down the Google search you'll come across a few Wholesale vendors in China and they are typically less than a tenth of the price Mouser (America) has them for.

Note; I did not confirm this exact part number; Just relaying what I've seen.

good call !
usually the shipping is slow but yes much cheaper

man it kills me that after all the years of trial and error
that the companies miss some very common key parts
on these sleds
hello they live in a wet environment !
hello they hit stuff..... make them strong enough to take hits !

gosh i love this sport ha ha

Can someone post a pick of the relays that are causing problems? i looked through this whole thread and couldn't see specifically which relays u guys are replacing.

Just had a quick look at my sled, 2 relays by the steering post/ front bumper mount, another above my battery. I don't know where the others are? Not in either Velcro bag!?

Was happy to see the 3 relays I found are the S R1's, so I think that is supposed to be the sealed ones??!!
