Thanks

Thanks for the comments. If anyone out there is thinking about just buying a decent running Jeep and building it up, let me go over the costs with you. You will be WAY ahead buying one that is already built. Even if you don't want to buy this one, drop me an email, I never mind talking about Jeeps. :)

What is the AX 15 transmission you speak of? Would you meet at the Canadian border?

ax-15

Hello,

The AX-15 is a 5 speed manual transmission with a 3.93:1 first gear and an overdrive 5th gear built by Aisin. It is also the strongest stock transmission for YJs. If you buy a YJ jeep, try and avoid the Peugeot BA-10 or the AX-5.

As far as meeting you at the boarder, I'd have to think about it, it's a long way from here. Where do you live? You would have to be pretty serious, I wouldn't want to go all that way just to have someone look at it. Let me know if there is anything else you want to know about it.

Thanks for the questions though.

Shawn

What are you running for a fuel system? Is it still the stock Carb?

Engine

I guess I failed to mention the engine in my original post, kind of a big oversight. It is a 4.0 liter inline 6 with multiport fuel injection. It has an MSD ignition, 8 mm Taylor silicon plug wires, airraid throttle spacer, Borla Stainless Steel header, K&N filter, high flow cat, flowmaster muffler. Engine internals are stock, it runs and sounds great. You should easily get 200K miles out of this engine, it has about 130K on the odometer, but alot of those miles were towed miles, I'm guessing the engine has about 90K miles on it. The transmission, transfer case, drive shaft and rear end have less than 20K miles on them and the front axles were rebuilt with stronger shafts, u-joints and manual hubs less than 5K miles ago.

Custom paint job.
