Anyone fabed one of these up? Im going to do it, i going with steel first then ill take it to the fab shop and have them do it in alum, for me. I know it can be done but i will have a outside bottom piece that hooks to the Alum. on the bottom of the sled. That way i can pick it up, i put the pre filter material where my slp intake grabs air from and i love it in the deep, works good for me! So now i just need a bumper that won't rip off!!

I want Pics / I got the SLP kit toooo

Let me see your pre filter.

I run mine in some pretty deep snow and have more issues with it coming thru hood vents.

Anyway keep me posted. Don't know why you can't go to the sides inside

I don't have pictures of mine but on the 900 Forum search SLP intake and a thread will come up SLP intake filling with snow what to do? There are pictures on that thread of the front end and hood vents covered with prefilter, I did what he did!

Thanks Grant

bumper hack

I also had the same problem with my first bumper i know its a bit of a hack but where the three screws are in the front of the bumper i just drilled all the way through (carefully while taking note of the proper angle) and ran some small stainless bolts through with some angled washers, loctite, and touch up paint. its barely noticable, saves a bunch of money for other mods, and has been effective for a couple years now.............

Bumper Hack 2

Miko700, I just did that to my buddies sled, yeah way cheaper than either buying a new pos plastic bumper or doing it right with a treedog or skinz bumper. college=broke so $3 repair is great. The 2 through bolts (the center tab on the bumper snapped off) seem alot more stout than (what is it 8 screws?) that originally held is on. Pretty sure my buddy learned not to grab that bumper now though:beer;.

My plan is to cut the orginal plastic bumper right after hood hinges, drill into the existing somewhat hollow bumper where i made my cuts and run my pipe through that, on the left side under the pipe and the ride side straight back to the aluminum. I would make the orginal plastic on the front angle correctly to fit the new bumper pipe. Then off the bumper, angled down the bulk head to the aluminum on the bottom. I haven't started yet, but i think it will look factory when said and done. If that makes sense.

Lets see some pics, I'm very interested in what you did, my bumper has broken the plastic too.
