I lost my Go Pro Helmet cam today up there. Unsure exact location since this was the first time I have even been there. But you go over on the west side on the trail and there is a hill climb where in the middle of it the trail passes through. Go about 3/4 of a mile on past there and a big meadow with a little hill climb hit's it and a bigger hill above it that's where I think it might be I had an incident on that hill right against the trail and that's where I think it is. If anyone comes up with it PM me please. I'll buy some beer's or something for it.

Thanks,

Greg

I was up there with Greg today. The likely GPS location of the cam is 40.32.220N, 106.41.958W. It would be on the uphill side of the road. A minor visibility incident ensued and the sled ended up on the uphill bank, we rolled it over down to the road and the camera popped off. This was coming back onto the road from the good sized meadow below. The camera has a lot of sentimental value to Greg and I'll help with a reward to the finder.

Depending on how hard it snows tonight the sled imprint should be visible on the hill, look just below that. :D

Thanks,

Jon

Going to give er a boost to the top! Maybe with the warm conditions comming soon maybe some one will find it!

That sucks..I assume he was wearing it at the time?

The contour comes with a leash system just in case. When he gets it back (yes I'm an optimist) maybe he could rig something. A leash attached to the goggle strap would give a little added peice of mind it won't happen again.

best of luck!

That sucks. Good thing about the Go-Pro's they are somewhat water tight. Hope you find it..

I ride with a GoPro as well, and while the GP mounting systems are pretty good (yet to fail me, and I've tried to rip it off with tree branches several times - adhesive mount on the helmet), I was skeptical - so I rigged up a tether.

Have kids?

Have a Wii?

there you go. The Wii controllers come with a nice nylon wrist-strap.

They're PERFECT. The slim cord end loops around something, run it back through itself and pull.

The snap-lock buckle conveniently lets the big-end loop get big enough to get over the "buckle," then cinch it down.

Voila - instant GoPro leash. I've swung my helmet around by the camera - seems plenty strong enough.

Trickier if you're attaching the camera to the _sled_, but it could be done fairly easily, depending.

Free, if you've got a Wii (and are willing to risk life and limb while playing SuperMario Kart)
