Buena, Salida, Gunni area next several days?

Thinking about heading to Gunnison, but don't got anybody to ride with.


Anybody use a tag along close to Gunnison, Thursday through sunday?


Marshall, Black Mesa, Kebler, or Cottonwood? Assuming I could hit Cottonwood from Taylor Park, wouldn't want to drive around.

We're coming from idaho and staying in Buena Vista. We don't know the area at all but are experienced mt riders. Would love to be pointed in the right direction or ride with someone who knows the area.

I'm a crappy rider, but know the area a little bit. Really the whole State is getting pretty dangerous, and folks shouldn't bet getting too silly riding anyways.


If you wanted to ride with me, I'd have to meet at the riding area. As I'd park on the west side of the Divide, and you'd park on the east side.


Anyways, the road up to Cottonwood Pass and parking goes right out of the town of Buena Vista. Heck it might even be main street?

Just booked a room in Crested Butte, so I'd like to stay on that side of the divide. So no Leadville.

Will be riding Cottonwood Sat. The wife, me & a buddy from Denver. All ride 13,14,15 Pro 800 155. Not sure what time we will be in town. After that 2 days south WC area.
