buddy broke ankle at blue lake.

monday the 16th, on our way from the lake back to the cabin at blue lake, buddy got bucked of his sled and broke his ankle in three places. I know i thanked the 4 fellas who arrived and helped get him out, but I'd like to say it again. Chris Williams, his friend Rob Scott (i think that was his name) and the two others who lent us their phone which i never did get their names. Chris and Scott went and called for help and then stuck around to help tend to buddy, and when we realized the chopper could not land where we were, they helped brake a trail out so we could get him back to the cabin safely. We just got back home this morning. Once again special thanks to Chris and Scott.

I know how important it is to have good people around you when something like that happens as I had a similar thing happen to me this Season. Broke my Fibula in three floating pieces and my Tibia in the Socket. My Buddies took great care of me and after a Sled ride, a SnowCat ride and Two Ambulance rides finally arriving at the Hospital six hours later. I was so very fotunate to have people around me that had the knowledge to keep me from going into shock, splinting my Ankle and getting me out of there as painless as possible under the circumstances. Good luck to your Buddy and good job to the people who helped him out.
