BRTech Thrasher Hood

Just wanted to get some opinions from everyone on BR Techs Thrasher Hood for the M series. I've read some posts on other sites that went back and forth as to whether or not these hoods actually hold up. For a couple hundred bucks it seems well worth it IMO. I know they don't come with any of the hinge system or headlight mounts but I can figure out all of that on my own. And also I saw a number of 5 lbs of weight loss compared to a stock hood? I'm assuming they are comparing a bare thrasher hood to a fully equipped stock hood (headlights, intake, gauge)? I'm getting a different intake and am going to run 1 headlight anyways.

2 hard seasons on mine, very happy with it. I've got a strut reinforcing the main part of the hood as it gets soft, but that was all it took.

How about a picture or two?

What does a hood like this cost?

How much weight does it save?

Are they painted?

A buddy of mine has it on his sled and its held up to his abuse. Only problem is when the hood gets hot it tends to sag, but he also has his headlights and gauge in it. With some aluminum reinforcing it holds up pretty well. Its pretty much made out of abs plastic, similar to a garbage can if you will. It comes as a blank hood, you can have the headlights and vents etc cut out. Worth the 200 bucks in my opinion to keep your 400+ dollar hood in good condition! But they are going out of business so Id snag one up fast.

Thanks for the pics! When are are they supposed to be going out of business? I guess I better call this weekend and see if I can get one coming. BCL you have a picture of the brace that you used to keep the hood from saggin? I really like the look of the hood, and its the right price.
