well what doo you think--last year they let poo get there foot back in the door instead of slaming it in there face..will they let them back in this year or will they finally build it like they should from the start:confused:
Motor aligned--no brainer
correct belt-- 1st grade stuff
handlebar heaters--$20.00 item
Geared correctly--did they hire the guy from Matel toys or what
----------SURE Hope they doo a better job out of the gate----------2009
such minor issues that sould never have happened

I sure hope so. The issues are ALL easily and cheaply fixed. They should not only have those fixed but add a few things to make them even better mountain sleds....intake, susp calibration, maybe some storage?

its almost graveler time he should be on this one soon, where are you my short peckerd freind?

I know they sent the Mtn. division engieers on a road trip last month to various regional meeting with dealers to listen to the dealers list of problems and ideas for solutions. So that is a good start. Now just a little follow thru and my 09 will be just that little bit better than the wife's 08.

Here's what I pulled from another forum HCS
new weld on driveshaft
new gauge internal only
new seat foam
new shock calibration
new clutching
new clutch gaurd
new clutch holder
new belt
new hot grips
and most likely 100 more things to make it bullet proof

Even completely un-touched and un-touned the XP's are incredible mountain sleds! I was very happy with my first ride on it in the steep. Performed INSANE in 5 feet of fresh! next year I will be doing some clutch work and a can and hopefully it will impress me even more!

as many mention here the xps are hands down a great sled, nothing out there even close... just get the bugs figured out and wow

i did most the mods needed in the first month i had the machine... as well the BB, and since then never looked back...

this sled now has to be the best sled i have ever owned and will allways have a spot in the trailer

Well I hope BRP does get it right, but I find it funny that T/A started this thread. In every other thread that someone *****es about their Skidoo T/A chimes in and says "well we have 6xx miles on 4 machines" blah, blah blah and how wonderful they are. Just thought it was funny.

Remember this--because i like the xp doesnt mean there isnt room for improvement==
we have got our sleds right and they are awesome sleds--i spent 1200 miles gettin my 07 right--neither sled was all that bad at any time but it sure would be nice to have BRP get them right out of the box----all the reading on here , there are veeeery few sleds that came out of the box right--M8-M1000-D8-included so i'm not bashing on anything i just like to buy it and ride it--i dont mod my sled and dont like to tinker on it...would like to pull and go--

Very true. My 99 summit X, 2000 700, 2002 X, 2003 X all ran awesome out of the box. Funny how the sleds have gotten more expensive, more technology, less weight and LESS RELIABLE.

I hope that things are better with the 09's.
Im going to Plunge and buy my first new sled, I hope I dont regret it.

What prices have people been quoted for 154 X sleds?
