was just told by dealer they will move engine, or change the mounts to align the clutches. I hope it works, I will have my sled in next week to get it done. Anyone else hear of this? I will let you know next week how it goes.

i love ski-doo, but what a bunch of idiot engineers. thats what happens when you get too damn book smart and rely on computers.
it just makes no sense that these machines made it all the way into your guys hands with no one checking the alignment.

You can slot the brackets that bolt to the mounts or you can shim the jackshaft.

sounds like a lot of work, I'm glad I don't have to do it. Mine should be a lot better after it is aligned, I can visibly see the belt is not straight between the primary and secondary.
They will be fixing everything, its called a 2009

its not BRP thats going to fix your alignment...its your dealer! cause my dealer said theres no where to adjust! i think that they dont want to try aligning cause its a PITA to do!

It depends..........and here is another XP engineering brainfart. Some of the XP's have motor mounts where all of the them are slotted and the engine is adjustable while others have one motor mount that is not slotted so the engine can't be moved corrrectly until the mount is modified. My dealer's mechanic and I discussed attempting to move the engine a couple of weeks ago and that is when we found out my engine could be adjusted. I now have clutches that are aligned. I am not pulling string any longer and the clutch heat is lower. Are my belt problems cured? That is yet to be determined but I like the results so far.
