BRP 3 YR Warranty On '07 Revs

I heard a viscous rumour up the hill the other day that BRP had extended the engine warranty on 07 Revs to 3 years, if the 2nd year warranty had been taken when the sled was bought. That would be peachy if true, anyone else heard about this or got a letter from BRP stating same? I got nothing! Sherm

Just call them or a shop with your vin# and they will tell you when it is up. Mine was an 07 and it had warranty till feb 09 so does not sound like 3 years.

The only ones the get an extra free year are the ones that dealers took in on trade and are now trying to sell them. To help dealers move them BRP tacked on this incentive for dealers to take/sell them. On that note BRP claims there is nothing wrong with the sleds........hmmm wait a minute?

In Canada you can purchase an additional year for about 1200$. In the states you can get up to 2 more years for about 600$.

Lady at BRP/warranty said the Canadian sleds get to many miles so they would only offer an additional year. As far as prices go....it up to the dealers and apparently the honor of living in Canada will grant you rates of 4x.

Just do what I did, get a new engine installed (under warranty) by your dealer and poof you have another year on the engine!

I don't think so...my buddies sled went down 15 miles into first ride of the season and only 400 miles on latest motor. He was 15 days past his 2nd year warranty and it doesn't sound like they are going to help him out

I figured it may have been to good to be true! The fella I spoke to said he had a letter so I'll have to get a copy of that and see exactly what it said. Its pretty sad when you have to "try" and get a new motor before yours goes off warranty! I think they had the 3rd year deal you could have bought but that was when the sled was new. Guess I'd best get out and run the bejesus out of it before the warranty is up! Sherm

I got a letter in the fall of 07 stating that they were going to extend the clutch warranty from one year to two years on the 07, it must have been true because the dealer just re-did my clutches in Nov. just before the warranty expired, for free.

I had my engine changed out in Oct, and because it was a new BRP crate motor it came with a 365 day warranty. Honest!

Thats fn' robbery on an '07. Offensive. I live in central BC and havn't been able to get a quote yet. Is the new round of 800r's doing OK in the XP?
