Broken throttle cable

Throttle cable got me back but it's done. An OEM replacement is 93$. A new extended cable is 20$ on ebay. Is there any reason a longer cable would not work fine. I lowered my bars 4 inches, used stock cable till now. '08 Ski Doo XP

Absolutely no reason not to get the ebay one, it will work fine.
