Broken Simmons V-trac Ski

Well I was moving my sled around this weekend and as I pulled on the ski, I ended up breaking the grab piece right off. Does anybody know if Simmons is still even in business to buy a new part from them? Otherwise, does anybody have a good recommendation for a new ski I could buy that would fit easily and quickly on to my 97 MM 600? I would like a pretty cheap one, because this sled is only used for my kid anymore. He's 6.

Simmons?

I thought the V-Trac skis were made by Recreational Dynamics, not even sure if they exist anymore...

I dont think thats a Simmons ski. Every ski I remember them making did not have a fixed mount for the back of the ski loop, it could slide. Also the front of the loop wrapped around to the underside of the ski. Eric

thanks

Thanks for all the input guys. Upon further review, I think you're totally correct, those are not Simmons skis. And yes you're correct, they haven't been in business for a long time. So I called Hartman and he said he doesn't have anything like that. I also called that Layton Cycle joint and emailed them a pic, but, as it isn't a simmons ski, they obviously didn't have anything either. So I think I'm stuck without a fix. Time to start looking for somebody selling some old stock skis for really cheap. Or I'm also thinking of maybe just not even fixing it as the sled only gets ridden 3 or 4 times a year and just in one meadow at that really. We'll see I guess.

I had a set of these skis. I sold them to my buddy and he still has them. He also has extra loops and he said he'd be willing to sell them since he no longer has a sled. Pm me for contact info.
