Broken crank, MAG side.

Got me a huge surprice today when i tried to get finished with the engine assembly. When i close the nut on the flywheel the hole crank tap break off:face-icon-small-sad
With a closer look I saw there was a old crack..

So, what to do? disassemble the engine, split the crank and try to install a new "crank end"?

I have seen a lot of broken cranks, mostly at PTO side, it's probably a good chance to find a cheep "MAG end" for my crank, or what?

Best regards Ole Andrè, Norway.

im not sure if you can find just the end... i have an old crank apart, but im not sure if its that easy to just mix and match crank parts...

There is also the balancing part to do and not sure you can do it with normal tools and also making sure your bearings are fit properly to the case. Best to get a hold of indydan here on the forum. He will let you know what to do. Also he has cranks and does clutch balancing and not sure he may be able to get a new mag side and balanced for you. His info is floating around on here somewhere and someone or he will chime in. Best of luck hope it doesn't leave you down for too long.

EDIT- did a quick search and found his info.
