Going to Breckenridge Friday and Saturday, wife and daughters will ski, board should I throw the deck on the truck and bring the two Pro's ?? looks to be pretty warm. Usually ride the snowies and buff pass, never ridden in this area, how does it compare to these other area's.

I've heard a few people say they're finding good snow... I'd bring the sleds.

Our High Country Snowmobile Club here in Summit County is grooming the Spring Creek area at the north end of the Gore Range and it's excellent riding there, don't have to fight the bumpy trail as we all have done forever. You can also ride the Sheep Horn divide area off of our trails, ungroomed and excellent, 25 minutes north of Silverthorne, CO.

Lots of riding, HOWEVER avy danger is real and don't ride without someone and gear to get yourself out of trouble. If you don't have gear, don't ride on hills or below hills. If you have gear PM me and i can point you to some good riding within 5-30min of Breck.

Let us know how it was...we have been driving past breck area and going to vail...

would love to see some new trails and the trails at VP this past weekend were hell....bumped everywhere...i dont understand the grooming there...i think they grommed once at the beggining of the year and havent since...we decided to hit the ski resorts on sunday because it was such terrible ridding...rode from VP parking lot to red cliff and i dont think we hit a single stretch of more than 20 ft of flat ground.....

end rant....:rain:

It's all this sun and 50degree weather. I don't know

I assume you just misread it to be muddy creek... just giving you SH**!:D

I'll have to bring you over to "rabbit ears" ;) some time. Might actually be riding there on sat taking out what might be my new 46 XM.

Probably a day late, but to keep some body from getting lost-- the Meadow Creek that may be mentioned on this site (eg see current thread, "Missing in Meadow Creek") is near Winter Park.

Yes, Gore is on the other side of Church Park if you are looking from, say, Denver or Winter Park/Tabernash. However, its over one more ridge - the Blue Ridge lies between Church Park and the Gore Range. Blue Ridge divides the Williams Fork (not the one near Craig, but the one near Kremmling) drainage and the Blue River Drainage.

Skywagon, Hello! I remember walking out of Spring Creek in 1983, with you flying overhead watching us damned fools. I was glad that you were able to get word to families that we were on the way out.

Anyway, I'd call Spring Creek at the north end of the Eagles Nest Range-- I think its actually called the Gore-Eaglesnest range through there. The Gore Range is marked on maps running from Rabbit Ears to the south end of Eaglesnest.

When I use to live in Denver in addition to going to Shrine pass or Vail pass we'd go to a place if memory serves me right called "Tiger Run" that was alot of fun.

Yeah i was not correctly reading that post, oh well... Ill be riding all over with some Wisconsin boys the 23rd through the 29th if you want to blow their trail riding minds with us. I know your busy these days with Tuck and work but you never know. If you pick up a XM let me know the details, im serious about picking one up for next season.

Breck

Rode Saturday 3/16 at Vail pass, Concrete does not even describe snow conditions. Riding is still better than sharing ski lifts with the greenies. Also, do they plow the lot at Vail pass ?? thats as bad as it gets.

Vail pass is one of those areas, not alot of trees so ALOT of sun which makes rotten snow. There is good snow to be had, just have to look. Rode some trees yesterday, deep and fun.
