Just wondering... How many are building a BRC 500 for this season? Also, how long it takes to get the kit when ordered? What additional mods are people doing?

Interested in this but still have yet to see big hp numbers... you would think you should get a solid 70hp out of this.

Owlhead Garage in Sicamous just built a sick 500 BRC for my buddy. They're using a new track kit too but can't remember the name of it. If it get to swing a leg over it I'll report back.

The engine mod game is a real sob. Either you lie and people are mad, or you tell the truth and people are mad. I bet the brc runs circles around that other one from quebec.

70 is probably what it makes. On pump gas, with a generic pipe.

The new Honda 450 is 60 out if the box, you can get a 300 to 65 with some effort. There are lots of options in that range. price of entry is high on this build. Some people just want a 500, and that’s what your paying for.

several ordered and going to take shape here in my town. Hope to get a ride on one this winter. Its about like buying plans to build a MH rather than it arriving put together in a box. TUNING required !!! I am sure BRC has been refining the product also. I have yet to hear about one that makes HP and impresses. Waiting for that.

What's the story with the new TPI 300's? Where would say a head and pipe combo/tune get a guy? Currently have a 450sx-f for snow, and a 250XC for dirt. Be nice to just go with one bike for all seasons..

For me tpi leaves a lot to be desired for an mx feeling if a 2 stroke. I like the fire breathing feeling of the carb for snowbiking ......now if someone can tune tpi to do it then that would be good... but for me tpi really needed a hot pipe to not be blubber...

You could conceptually do all the same stuff I went thru (other thread) with a tpi bike vs a carb. Just buy a programmable ecu instead of a lectron. And take a little longer to tune it.

Not sure how the duty cycle of the injectors is set up. Being in the transfer ports, if you keep the injector open (need to add fuel) too long you might have the piston blocking the airflow and have a traffic jam on your hands. Fuel might not burn nice all bunched up. Ide figure out a way to move those injectors to the reed block before I even started. Just me tho.

I did use a Get on my bike with wheels and it was a 19... it did bring the 2 stroke feel back but it still was so touchy... low altitude maps worked well high altitude I would always get a bog... locally I just don't have anyone that can tune or wants to tune a tpi bike... can it get there I am sure but I did not want to invest anymore time after the year Into it... but for sure everytime that bike went through snow berms with wheels it would fall flat on its face one the pipe sat in the snow.... we also had a 150tpi and when cold mud would pack in the pipe it would start bogging... I believe pipe temp is super important on tpi... thats my experience... I am now back on a carbed sherco 250 and 125 and have never looked back for wheels...
