Brakes suddenly stopped working

Out for a ride yesterday, climbed up a long steep hill into the trees, when I realized I had limited brakes. If I pumped them I had brakes but if I pulled and held them, the lever would slowly go the the bar and I’d have no pressure. When I got home I checked for leaks and couldn’t find any, brake reservoir was 1/4” from over flowing. Tried bleeding the brakes and now I can’t get any pressure.

Any suggestions? Anyone experience this?
I have a 14 & 15 pro rmk in the shop that I was going to steal the brake reservoir off and rule that out as the issue but it has a differently part number than the 16&17’s. Individually the reservoir and all the parts are the same except the brake line and brake switch. Has anyone done this swap or know if I can do it?

Thanks

Brake rotor is warped but you need to find out why.... When it's warped it opens the gap on the brake caliper Pistons and then you have to pump the breaks (masterclinder)to close the distance(piston Gap to caliber).

Sounds like Master is bypassing/bad cups..try your spare

I had the same thing happen - it was the fluted seal on the piston inside the master cylinder. Cant buy a rebuild kit from Polaris - so $200 for a new master cylinder. OR you can get a rebuild kit for an M8 - part number is SM-5405. $20 shipped. The rebuild kit was an exact match, no issues after replacing that seal. I did have to use a syringe and a tube to fill the system from the bleeder up to get the air out, pumping and bleeding normally was not working.
