Looks like my pro brake is rubbing i could hear it squilling going down the trail.. the pads look like there touching on the disc... how do you adjust it to loosen them off a bit.

Heading for a ride tomrow morning so any quick help is appreciated

Pretty sure there's no adjustment you can do on the brakes. Someone sells a spring kit that keeps the pads spread apart when not applying the brake. I will try to find the post for who sells them. I think they were like $10 or so...

Ok guys, I noticed I could hear my brake rubbing as well. Is it Tri-City Polaris that sells this kit? Anybody else have this problem? The last thing I want to do is rob HP from my track because my brake is rubbing....

I didn't notice this issue right away but after about 60 miles on the sled the noise was quite noticeable.

Anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks.

I also noticed it. I think some of it is the way it is cut (slotted sawtooth) makes it sing as it spins fast. There was a rub though for sure. Mine seems to have improved on its own. Maybe the pads wore down a little?

you can try riding the break when heading down the trail for periods to wear the pads down a little.
mines weird i dont seem to hear it in the mornig on the way up or during the day whiile riding... but just on the way down back down to the truck at days end :face-icon-small-con

been that way for last 2 or 3 rides..weird

Well, apparently I am not as nice as Polaris. They must be trying to give the Cat and Doo boys a chance by making my brake rub!! HAHA!! Only kidding...

I will look into that kit this weekend. I need this sled running perfect by February, and it's close!!

mine made the same noise all of last year,i read somewhere that if you don't use your park brake on the trailer that the noise would go away, can't remember who said it but it's worth a try becouse that whining is annoying

250 Miles on my sled and I noticed it from day 1. After having it clamped back to the park lot at the end of the day I pull off my side cover and touch the disc. It's not very hot. IMO I think its just the wind and air in the slots and cross drills making the humming noise spinning at x RPM. I'm not gonna touch mine.

I have posted that mine is doing this same very thing...

But the way I think about it is...it's got 4 years of warranty, so who cares if the pads are actaully touching a little...can't do any sort of serious damage I wouldn't think??

Unless someone has thoughts otherwise?

It's just that the noise is annoying is all...but I don't notice it much when kicking the snot out of AC and Doo's on the hills;)

Chamfer the leading edge of the brake pads on a grinder and most or all of the noise will go a way
A chamfer is a beveled edge connecting two surfaces. If the surfaces are at right angles, the chamfer will typically be symmetrical at 45 degrees

I went to my local hardware store, picked up 2 springs that are 7/16 ID x 3/4 long. Cost 3.98 + tax, no squeal, will check for any rub marks later.

Wondering the same thing. My brake was rubbing and making noise on and off all last weekend. Almost looks like it shows some wear maybe just illusions. Im going to keep watching it though.
