Brake Line trouble

Hey Guys,

doing the whole riser block thing, but I have ran into a few brake line troubles.

Once rerouting I ran out of length in the stock line. With the new line that was purchased and supposed to be for a rev sled (Powermadd cable) I ran into some issues with the banjo bolt and the crush washers. Once I put the new brake line in the actual heads of the line are narrower than the stock line.

So when I go to put the bolt back in the threads are longer that what will fit into the female end. Apparently the banjo bolt and new washers will do the trick. But I dont think it is going to work.

Does anyone have any experience cutting a banjo bolt. Will this effect my braking???

any experience or advice would bee RAAAADD!!

Thanks

I ended up going to NAPA and getting some parts to make it work. The PowerMadd stuff is lacking in the engineering area. Can't tell what parts I used, I did bring the entire assembly in and they fixed me up. Break shop would also be a good call. Breaks are one of those things you hate to loose

was it just a brake line that you got from napa or was it a whole new banjo bolt and washers etc? do you know if other brake lines from dirt bikes or anything else would have a comparable brake line?

I had the braided steel line that was too short for the 8" risor. They made a steel line and connectors to go from the brake lever to the braided line. Looked like it was factory when the guy was done. I looked to see if I had pics of the set-up, but I do not. Was on a 03 ZX set-up. The guy was a sledder as well, less than $25 in parts.
