Brake Line Question

So I put some 2011 Pro-RMK Pro Taper bars on my '05 900 and I have ordered a 2011 brake master cylinder as well. Looking at extended brake lines, I found one that lists from '06 and up. My question is does anyone know if this brake line will be compatible with my '05 caliper. I relocated the switches to the console and my '05 master cylinder wont work on the '11 bars.

Anybody know if the '05 and '06 calipers have a different brake line fitting?

maybe... the brake line on the 05 the line has a thread at the end and threads into the caliper. opposed to the 06 which uses bango fitting at the end of the brake line....

i did a little research for you. unfortunately the 06 and 05 calipers have different p/n. but the bleeder screw is the same p/n for both caliper years.... so what i would do is take the bleeder screw out of the one side and see if it threads into the brake line hole... just to see if they are both the same threads(which i bet they are).... this is assuming in 06 they didn't put two different size threads in there.(I doubt it)

i looked at ebay pics and they look identical 05 and 06. except the way the hose is mounted.... even the brake pads have the same p/n

if it was me I would say yes. but I also have a tap and drill set that i can just make it fit anyways :P

Thanks for the input. I already ordered the '06+ brake line. I will just have to get all the parts here and find a way to make them work. I see the banjo fitting now on the '06 caliper but it looks like I can use an '06 caliper on my '05 easy enough if I can't make it work.
I sure like the new bars on there, the height feels perfect but I sure opened a can of worms on this project. The wiring alone to clean up the bars has been a major task.

I got the 2011 master cylinder installed, have a brake line ordered that says will fit both an '06 rmk, and the 2011 pro-rmk, and I just ordered an '06 caliper off eBay so I should be good to go unless there are physical differences between the '05 and '06 calipers other than the brake line connection.
I also need to buy some bar ends for the 2011 bars because the bars are thicker wall and my stock ones don't fit into the bar.

Finally got this all together and thought I would post up the results. So the master cylinder I got was from a 2012 and it turns out, they went to a banjo bolt at the M.C. but they use the same brake line as an 06' according to the brake line manufacturer (with a banjo on only one end). So I guess the later calipers went back to a direct line connection like my '05. All I had to do was mount the 06 brake line, banjo end to the M.C. and the other end into my '05 caliper, done.

Going to get it bled tomorrow, and finish some wiring, install a couple more vents and it looks like we might be getting some snow!

Just to confirm the banjo connections use a smaller thread than the bleeder/ threaded hose end.

Where did you get the bars? Did you order them through the Polaris dealership? I have been looking all over for them and the only thing I've found is ordering them through Polaris at a significant premium.
