Brake Lever Issue

I installed a Extra Tall Windshield part#2879156 on my 2012 Pro 800, when making a hard right turn the brake lever comes in contact with the windsheild appling the brake. I tried adjusting the lever and handle bars to no avail, I sent Polaris an email explaing the issue, the response was laughable,( see dealer) I have owned over 30 Polaris products and know when there is a design flaw. The options appear to be cutting the lever down or trying to source a shorter lever. I live in Northern Canada and the factory windshield is a little cool.

An age old problem with tall, wide windshields. I have trimmed windshields, trimmed the handlebars, tried different windshields (even from other brands), tried different brake and handlebar positions, etc, always having to settle on something of a compromise. Had to graft a Polaris Pro chassis windshield onto a Ski Doo in order to be able to run Ski Doo handguards with a tall, wide windshield. Sorry I couldn't offer anything else. 550iq

Same here!! I have always wanted to have my bars clear the windshiled on any sled I have ever had, especially during the racing days. Ya just gota make it custom to your liking !

Windshield? Are those even made anymore??

I find almost all shields anymore are all BUT functional. Got a NXT level windshield bag and couldnt be happier!
