Brake Bleed help! ( mototrax )

I have bled my KTM clutch multiple times over the years.. just by gravity bleeding and no tubes.

For the life of me I cannot get my handbrake on my new mototrax to bleed right.

I have a motion pro 8mm bleeder kit ( doesn't fit because mototrax is like not 6mm not 7mm not 8mm.. 1/4" wrench seems to fit, all my bleed hoses are too big )

I also have a bikemaster bleeder kit that hooks to my aircompressor, but the nubbin is so big when you press it on you can't get to the bleeder vavle screw at the same time.

I have been trying to gravity bleed it for over an hour, and its only got just slight resistance.

I need tips lol

thanks

its a KTM thing, I had trouble bleeding my Mototrax brakes, finally remembered old trick and zip tied brake lever to grip(fully pulled lever) and left it for 24 hours, came home from work and gave it 4 pumps and it was firm and stayed firm

with lever pulled all the way it allows air to seek the highest point and it slowly finds its way to the master cylinder

I bought a syringe and pushed fluid through from the bottom. That seemed to work its not perfect so I have the lever ziptied to see if that makes it better.

Thanks for the tips

I do my clutch and brake this way on all my ktms.....I have had good luck just letting it sit for an hour or so.

I had issues bleeding my brake as well, although I wasn't very patient and just took it for a ride. Haven't had too many instances where I wish I had a brake so I've been running it without ever since.

When you let it sit with the loever zip tied, is the master cylinder cap off?

What syringe did you buy? I've got a moto Trax kit too and the whole brake caliper set up is a real pain to get to...

There is also 2 bleed nipples. I back bled with a syringe on the back nipple to get the system primed. I then standard bled first the back nipple until firm and then the front one for a good solid brake. Just get the biggest syringe you can find. I think they are vetinary.
Mc cap can be on when zap strapping the lever. I used to do it and it improves the power but you soon learn you never use the brakes on a snowbike. I pretty much use mine for unloading from the truck on the ramp only.

Thanks for that. Yes, 2 nipples, one above and one below. The Moto Trax Install Guide says to bleed with the upper nipple. When you say front nipple, do you mean upper? Thanks for the tips. I understand brakes hardly get used, but it's a different story if you don't have one all together, even if it's just to prevent parking lot mishaps! ;)

It was a few years ago now but I would say the one that is easiest accessed I did the initial bleed. Harder one to get to gave the final hardness. Only needed a couple rounds on the harder one.
