I was up there on Friday and the Ranger was also there. I talked to him for a while, he said they allowed access on the left (he said something about 42") I kind of thought it looked narrow.

They are working on the pipeline til mid December, so I doubt the road will be too good while that is in progress.

He said they weren't blocking access to sleds up there but have way too many kids in trucks and 4 wheelers going up there so that is why they put the gate in.

If you can't get through the rock on the left side, I think we need to call the Ranger station and have them move it if they will. Not sure who to call on that.

w'ell just build a little ramp or lift a ski past. not a problem, will suck when snow is low though

I know what you mean by the gap it looked way narrow to me as well hope it dumps this week so I can go test it out.:smow:

From the looks of it, this gate is just after the turn in to Buckland flats right? If so, you can take the luge (Trail) up from the old camp ground area...Just hope nobody is coming down it!:thumb:

This is actually a good thing to keep all the redneck, monster drinking punks and their 4x4's out. ;) Plenty of ways around it on a sled

There have always been several short cut routes out of Buckland Flats to the road above; you don't have to use the Luge Run or the road.. Faceing basically north in the flats go left and up through the trees instead of right up the luge run.. you'll still end up on the road above the flats.

These are all true but you have to have some decent snow on the ground to ride up them.

Why? A few rocks and stumps have really never stopped riding above Bountiful before..

When you get back into snow just kick the mud and sticks out of the track.
