Bought a SLP Set up for my M1000 please help

hey guys I have a 2009 M1000 sno pro and bought a Full Slp package Includes Purelogic controler, BDX air intake. So please tell me about this system and is the Purelogic any good?

I think the pre-mapped Power Commander from SLP is what I would choose for an M1000. I don't know anything about the Purelogic controller though. It also sounds like the factory mapping on the '09s is cleaned up to the point that tunning with an adjustable box should be less hassle than it previously was.

Yeah thats what I was thinking the Prologic came with the deal so I guess I will jsut try and sell that and the PC should I run a PCIII or PCV?

Also whos mapping would I want to use? Does SLP send you a map and will it adjust on its own when I ride in ND then go to Cooke City?

This a copy from another thread, I'm using Racinstation

I would like to add a couple things about the Power Commander 5 and autotune. I work at dynojet and do product development and testing for the snowmobile products so I have lots of time working with these units.

I want to mention that the best option for most consumers is going to be using a map that was built by a pipe builder or tuner. There are a number of diffrent sources for the snowmobile maps and they are starting to cover most sleds and most modifications.

Map Sources
Starting Line Products
Dynotech Research
Speedwerx
Racin Station (Teton Motorsports)
Dakota Performance

These people have been working hard at building maps for diffrent combinations. Dakota Performance has turbo maps for the Arctic Cat 800 and 1000 while the other companies have been covering the naturaly aspirated setups.

Autotune works by comunicating the AFR of the engine to the Power Commander 5. Then the Power Commander seeks the AFR that you have specified. Autotune is a good tuning tool if you know what AFR you want. Autotune is still going to take some time and you may need to manualy edit some of the trims to perfect your map.

I will try and keep an eye on this topic and answer questions when I can. I also watch a Power Commander thread under the Performance/Modified section.

Pure logic box works fine. You do need to know how to tune it though.

so does it adjust for altitude and temp on its own?

because I ride in ND then go to Cooke City? 8000 feet diff.

With the PC 5, you will need two maps that you switch with a laptop.

ahh ya been reading around here a little more about them. Sorry if this post has already been on here.

Also once you unplug them does everything go back to stock? I just dont want to blow up.
