Bottoming out...... bye bye lugs and studs???

so over the summer i wanted to better my rear suspension on my 97 super sport, it has extra 10. I bought a new rear shock because the old one was shot, i increased the torsion spring preload to the stiffest setting, and i moved the RRSS back one hole, but i got to thinking if i bottom it out, the lugs and studs should hit the tunnel (i have 96 studs) and ruin the track, is this a possibility? all answers appreciated... thanks!
