just ordered a boss seat form the boss seats site for my 09 m8 153 and i also have a new gas rack from arctic cat to put on but i wnated to hold off until my seat came in to put it on just in case the seat was longer. But is the seat longer? and will it make any difference on where i can mount the gas rack?

The boss seat is not longer. To mount the rack you will have to drill out a few existing rivets and line up the rack. You'll see where it needs to be. Just be very careful when you drill the holes, your coolant tubes are close to where your drilling!!

Hey i have a 09 M8 153" with a boss seat and A/C gas rack it fits perfect. I am not sure if you have the same gas rack or not, but hear is a pic of mine. And yes be very very careful when installing the rack the coolant lines under tunnel leave no room for error.
