Booze+Big H.P.+Chute's= Not Cool

Just my 2 cent's but if you need liqiud courage to climb some of these chute's maybe you shouldn't even be trying them in the first place! Saw it first hand at the Alpine ride, by more then one rider. ( not mentioning any names). Some one is going to get hurt because of lack of judgement, and I do not want to be come one of the one's injuried because someone needs to be hammered to climb some of theses climb's. Save it for the trailer or the bar after riding, and we will all have alot more fun. Thanks for letting me rant RIP.

I agree 100%, or maybe it equals just plain stupid, save it for the truck it is not just your life out there but anyone else near by.

Did that many years ago,on my old Phazer, got boozed up and went climbing,,,at night, rolled it all the way to the bottom, didn't get hurt, but I never did it again. Now the cold ones wait in the snow bank for the end of the day.

Nothing wrong with a bit of liquid courage haha lol..... why even start this thread though now every one know's who it was from reading in the last post on the alpine ride monster and this post if you got a issue i recomend talking privately to the person.....:beer;... i do agree though sledding and getting liqoured isnt smart nearly seen a kid get killed by a drunk on a polaris couple years back.....

They must have been drunk to have been riding a polaris!!!!!! That is total lack of good judgement!!!!!

I has been proven time and time again that alcohol will impair judgment and coordination. Now, cocaine will fire you up and won't hurt the coordination too much....that's a chute climbers fix! ;)

No difference in a person riding a sled or driving a car impaired!!!! STAY OFF MY ROADS AND TRAILS!!! I have done stupid chit in the past, but have since grown up, and there is no call for someone to put my life or my kids life on the line just cuz they think it's fun. And YES, my 9 yr old and 12 yr old, and my wife ride with me too.

Thanks for letting me vent also.

Totally agree with you Rip, I used to have a couple a few years ago (not being pie-eyed but enough) until 2yrs ago when a buddy went off a cliff on the trail down and went off one of the cliffs into the trees. It didn't happen to me but that was enough of a scare and a wake-up for me.

Realized since then, I do stupid enough chit on this sled........don't need liquid courage to get me in deeper!!!!!!! Besides, if I was bombed doing it I might not remember how much fun I had:D

Here we go! How many times has this type of thread been drug on and on and on. "But I like to have A cold one on the hill" now the other guy pipes up "No booze not even one" then "I'm not drunk I can hold my booze nothing wrong with having A cold one and not being impaired". Blah Blah Blah Blah. We know both sides of the fence already so go baby sit someone else.
End of thread
:) :beer;

are you for real????

If you need liquid courage to do it, then you truly are a coward.

Kudos to RIP for having the balls to point it out and post it up! :)

Edit: If you don't like these type of threads, don't read them. You have your opinions, others have theirs and should be free to express them if they wish.

So what you're saying is.....You support those drinking to excess and then riding off down the trail? Becuz what you are saying is by telling RIP to go babysitting elsewhere is that you condone this type of behaviour. If that's the image you want to portray for snowmobilers, that's your choice, but then don't read these type of threads because you're the minority here, and YOU do not speak for the rest of us. Just like drinking and driving, this issue should never go away.

We have a hard enough time keeping riding areas open and getting people on our side to promote a safe and fun sport, I'd like to keep promoting sledders as responsible individuals, not drunken azzholes.

If you need liquid courage to do it, then you truly are a coward.

And their off....NoSecondChances is out of the gate at a gallop.

At one of the more popular riding areas in my area they have started to do checkpoints on ocasion up on the hill.
I seem to see a lot more litter on the hill as of late... Mostly beer cans.
One of the guys and I were talking about it just yesterday... He *****ed at a guy for leaving his empties on the hill... The guy made a coment like "I'm not going to have all those empties on me if they have a checkpoint".
So not only do people break the law by drinking, now they break the law by littering so they won't get busted.
Pisses me off! Azzholes like that shouldn't be on the hill.
Keep it for after the ride.

Exactly what I was saying just turns into crap. But I like the way he turned my words into what he wanted them to say. NO I DO NOT AGREE WITH PEOPLE BEING $HITY ON THE HILL! My point is this type of thread goes the same way everytime and people waste time (like I am doing right now) instead of making this site enjoyable. Well to each his own I will now step away. These treads get a bunch of responses when someone that might be having problems with a sled posts and 2 people reply.

Boozers

I tried this thread a while back with dismal results, it seems many have grown up now, thats good to know.

Didn't mean to twist your words, was just how it came across when I read them. I do think these threads are valid and are a good reminder, guess we disagree.

10-4 brutha.
Seeing the big eyes flying towards us freaked me out.
Felt bad for walking by him stuck, but I was pissed off.......although I think Mike was a tad more pissed off!!!! LOL
Well said Paul.

Why is it that people think one post will incite an opposite remark, regardless of the context, and John's post reinforces that perception. God I love the internet sometimes...

Are you new around here? This has been beat to death. BTW, I don't disagree with your point. Getting drunk anywhere but home or the bar (with a plan for transportation home) is asking for trouble. Having a beer or three on the hill is not a big deal. Should go without saying that if you pack it in, you pack it out. Hell, we pick up little pieces of windsheilds, hoods and misc. plastic all the time...Carry on.

I am lush:D

That being said, I don't swill on the hill. Takes away my edge. I don't feel in control and ride worse than normal:)

Now when we get back to the trailer....GAME ON! Fill my eyes with that double vision~LOL!!
