BOOTS!

What is everyone riding with this year? I need to ask the wife for a christmas present! I was looking at a bunch of Klim's, HMK's, and Motorfists but there is a boatload of choice out there. I kinda like the idea of the Motorfist redlines because of no laces as I'll be swapping these in and out for my ski boots frequently.

Thanks all for your input.

I've had cold feet my whole life whether it's hunting, snowmobiling, or another activity. 3 years ago I bought a pair of Klim boots and Klim socks. I haven't had cold feet since. I'm sold on them. One thing I would recommend along with the boots is the socks. I can't comment on the other boots as I've never owned them. But, I love my Klim's.

I have a pair of HMK BOA's that I have worn for three years, they aren't the warmest boot and the stitching is starting to come out of them, but it has been three years of hard riding, so I understand that!

Everyone seems to love the Klim boots, so I would look at them!

I have klim adrenaline, HMK boa's and Motorfist stompers
I prefer the HMK's and the Motorfist over the Klims as they are almost to warm my feet sweat to the point of soaking my socks when I wear them !!

Another vote for Klim Adrenaline's here. Have had them 3 seasons now and they are holding up great. Warm enough for any condition, but breathe well and great ankle support without being too stiff like a race boot.

I've had Klim Adrenaline, Klim Arctic, and now HMK BOA Focus. Both of my Klim boots started leaking once they were well worn.

I've been wearing HMK Boa's for 8 years. They provide excellent ankle support, feet have never been cold, Boa no lace system is the bomb!, and they are holding up well. The only wear is the sole from the cheese grater board edges on my sled. They key for dry feet in any boot is good socks.

Boots

I've worn both Klim and HMK. I love my HMK Boa Focus'. Wear a good sock and my feet are always warm and dry. I like the added support, and they are just a bit easier to walk on the snow since they're a little bigger.

Sounds like the focus is the hotness, but at $349 bucks Ouch! What is the difference between the Team Boa, and the Focus Boa? I read both specs and cannot tell except the Focus has two Boa's?

Thats the main difference, the extra BOA system, the other piece that is different would be the removal liner in the Team Focus. Some people like to have that removable liner to dry the sweat out of the boot, but with this option comes a little bit more bulk. The other thing you can get with the Team Focus would be color options. Not a huge deal for many, but for some color is king.

I have 43 miles on my new Motorfist Redlines. So far, I really like them, but I do have to decide of my shin guards are going inside or outside the boots.

Sunday, I put one on the inside and one on the outside...at this point I'm thinking outside is better.

How are the buckles holding up? Heard a nasty rumor from a dealer in BC and hoping this does not continue to be a persistent issue.

I can tell you to not get the new hmk voyagers. They are mush, about as stiff as sorel, which would be fine if your a trail rider. I've been meaning to return or sell them.

I've never seen a boa system last if you ride often, maybe if you only ride 1 day a week.

With that being said I will say that I prefer a stiff snowboard boot, the stiffer the better, lace up, removable liner and the smallest size I can get on..

No problem yet.

My built-in gators in my Rekon covered the main buckles and the strap ratchets just fine. I will probably trim the excess strap lenth...but other than that, so far, so good.

Another vote for the Klim Adrenaline boots and socks 4 years on mine with no leaks! Still warm as new!

I'd think HMK has a pretty good warranty and stand behind their stuff right?

Thank you guys for the feedback on the redlines.

Wear what fits right and feels good.

I tried on boots from all the manufactures, and they all fit/feel a bit different from each other.

Try them all on and walk around if possible.

I really wanted to get the Motorfist or the HMK, but ended up with the Klim simply because they fit better...

I'd love to, we just dont have an excellent selection of places here on the east side to look at. Need to head to sandpoint.
