boots

My Klim Boots have had the sole come apart.

Love the boots but they are not strong enough for snow biking.

There was an other thread where a guy had the same problem I thought he was wrong , turns out I have the same issues now.

Does anyone use discovery rain boots with a booty for warmth?

Just a thought they have a proper sole and a couple sizes up might allow

me to wear a liner in them

None of the MC boots are waterproofed this one is Gore tex.:rain:

I have gone through 3 pairs of boots in 2 years. Two Klim Adrenaline and one Motorfist Stomper. They will all blow out in time. I bought a pair of Motocross boots one size too large. Wool socks and they fit. Love them. Warm, dry. Tons of support and protection. They will not blow out.

I used my snowboard boots and they worked fine but I can tell they won't last a whole season. I like the MX boot idea as well.

No point in bringing two sets of boots while i'm in the mountains, so I modified my Snowboard boots with a strip of plastic over the toe area on the shift side. I used some random 2-part epoxy to hold the plastic piece to the fabric, although I probably could have just done with a big blob of hard epoxy.

Motofist!! My buddies blew out and they replaced them at no cost. Awesome Customer service. 5 of us wear these and they seem to work great.

x2! I have the stompers and they have been awesome! Never been cold or wet. Customer service is second to none

these boots are made for ?

wear my klims MOST TRIPS, getting wore out and have to add toe warmers on the bike rides in deep fluff, my all plastic bulky waterproof cold wave sno cross boots are too big and bulky, can't find the shifter half the time, think I'll yard out the most plastic looking of my mx boots next weekend but I know the spring creek crossings on the bike always have me riding with wet feet all day....... so water PROOF they are NOT. the garbage bag liner might have merit though.

The Klim's are warm enough and always dry , but the sole can not handle the MC Foodpegs I don't like the fit of the stompers at all and guys are having the same durability issues so my next try is the discovery rain boots by SIDI they are gore tex and with a size and a bit larger a light liner may work.

I also snowboard and would like to use a snowboard boot if I could find a waterproofed one, I never found a gore tex Snowboard boot and on the bike it is a must to have waterproofed boots./
Neoprene liners will be the last line of defence.

If you start your bike with the balls of your feet and not the flat middle part you will experience a much longer lasting boot. One, you won't tear up the sole of your boot and create a kick-start hole. Two, you won't scrape the outer bike side of your boot on your pegs when you kick start. I wasn't paying attention with my near perfect boots and I started with my heel one day and put a hole in my Klim Adrenalins.

Also, oversized pegs are MUCH better for your boots than stock MX pegs.
