Boots??

I have HMK boots and my feet freeze, what do you ladies wear and WHY? I have tried more socks, less socks, thicker socks, thinner socks, boots tied looser, boots tied tighter.....NOTHING works, besides putting the hand warmers in my boots.....Hubby also tried to order some heated boot inserts for Christmas but they never came in :(.....

I wear a pair of regular socks and a pair of Motocross socks with my Polaris boots and my feet have never been wet or cold. Are your feet normally cold (like at home)? Do you have the thin HMK boots??

I have the same problem. Unfortunately for me, it's poor circulation in my feet and nothing I've done actually helps :-( I've tried different socks, different boots... Doesn't seem to matter!

You must just have cold feet. That'll happen with such a warm heart. :face-icon-small-hap

I have HMK boots and Klim Adrenaline. Never had cold feet in the HMK's just wet feet. I had a leak or something. The Klim boots are doing good keeping me dry and warm for the most part. 0 degrees days my feet feel a little chilled though. As for socks just a moisture wicking sock and there pretty thin so my toes can move.

I have had the HMK Pro Boa Focus (Suppose to be top of the line). My boots leeked and sometimes my feet would get cold. Now this year I have a pair of the Klim Artic GTX boots and I love them. My feet are dry and toasty warm. On warmer days I wear Thor motocross socks and chillier days I wear Klim Mamoth socks. The Artic Gtx and the Mamoth socks are new to Klim this year.

I have the Baffin boots from Mark's Work Wearhouse they work really well. I usually wear a sport sock then a wool sock and then my boots. My Mom just got herself a set too. However some days my feet are just cold and sometimes one foot is cold and not the other. I don't know why this happens. Before we go on any trip though I visit my Chiropractor who puts everything in place. If you have a chiro mention this to him/her your feet have many bones in them and it could be too something that originates from your pelvis that is restricting blood flow. Sometimes too if I am really cold I will stop and have a snack and it seems to be what I need to get my metabolism going and my body working and then I start to warm up. Or I dig a trench with my Nytro and have to shovel myself out...then I heat up in a hurry..............LOL!!!!

Ms Trailking replying to your issue: I have rotten circulation in my hands and my feet. I wear Sorel boots with Smartwool socks with an adhesive toe warmer placed on top of each foot and wrapped over the ends of my toes. I place it on top of my socks. If I don't apply the toe warmers, my toes get cold. My sister has the same boots and stays warm without the toe warmers. My hands are bad too. I have hand warmers, hand guards and still need to stick a hand warmer in each mitten on top of my fingers. My husband swears by his Klim Adrenaline boots. Good luck-sucks to be cold!

Oh I forgot to mention...the last time I was in work warehouse they had rechargeable heated boots. You plug them in and recharge them and they are supposed to stay heated for up to 8 hours. I thought it was pretty nifty!

I have a pair of men's hmk and normally wear smartwools (though I won't buy anything new from them anymore after learning what they support.)

My key to keeping warm is not to put my boots on too soon before riding. Wearing them in a warm truck or camper means that my feet sweat, starting a ride with sweaty feet never ends well. I also get cold if I stand around on ice/snow waiting to go (which oddly doesn't happen during breaks in the ride?), once my feet get cold it is very hard to get things warmed back up. Another bad way to start a ride.

Chiropractor is a good idea too. Every once in a while my left hands starts getting cold all the time, it goes away after getting my back/neck worked on.

My feet has always gotten cold, and they are always wet from sweating, some peoples feet sweat and some doesn't. Just this winter I started using a antiperspirant, just Arrid XXtra dry. and I have got to say I haven't had cold feet since I started using it. It is a easy fix and definitely worth a try.

Just some more info.....My feet don't sweat so that isn't the issue, they are not wet. I wear smartwool or socks I bought from HMK. Next I want the support simular to the HMK, so sorels won't work for me....URGH, the Klim's how much support do they have?

I don't wear "snowmobile boots"- I have had too many friends with Klims and HMK etc. have wet and cold feet. Plus, I prefer a higher upper than any snowmobile boot has for those times I get into overflow. I have yet to have wet feet.

I wear Baffin Barrows and/or Baffin Fort Macs. The Barrows are rated to -150F. The Fort Macs are rated to -70F. I prefer my boots to have a rating at least 3 times colder than what I actually expect to ride, because I tend to get cold easy. I wear a single layer of Smartwool socks in my boots, and I don't use handwarmers in them. Both the Barrows and the Fort Macs are 100% waterproof from sole to the top of the upper, and the uppers go nearly to my knees. The Barrows upper is about 1-1/2" taller, and it is a bit heavier boot.

The downside (for some) is that both the Barrows and the Fort Mac's are a heavy boot and they aren't as stiff as a snowmobile boot is- but the weight doesn't bother me, and I've never had a problem moving around on my sled.
