Boosted 2 strokes

Seems 3 of the manufactures have been playing with them for some time.
Think one will actually put one to production?
If so who?

For 2018 Polaris upgraded the cooling on the 800HO, sealed cross-shaft cavity crankcases for added lube and durability, more durable EGT sensor and upgraded the Mag crank seal. All those upgrades are things that very few people have had a issue with, but all those things could be beneficial on a engine that is being prepared for boost... :face-icon-small-win

I think if they do it will likely be only for the "mountain" models, will have something like Boondocker's adjustable boost controller, and will probably have a target output of 180 horsepower at like 4-5 psi of boost or something.

So it won't be quite as hot as a sled you put an aftermarket turbo on, but hey, factory warranty on a 2 stroke sled is worth 20-30 horsepower to me :)

Looking like Skidoo is in the lead with the patent application and 850 with the way it's built. Time to start filling the piggydoo bank for when it comes!

Yeah, probably along the lines of the Ford "ecoboost" trucks where they are made for longevity with slightly more power than usual. But the fact they are made to hold up with lower boost numbers I would assume means that it will hold up even better than previous models to higher boost #s :)
