i was told by a very reliable sorce that 9 horse per pound its about right. he was real heavy into R & D and his sled was probably a lot more eficent that most peoples (expecually mine). im guessing around 8 for the common sled. it probably also depends on what else is done to your motor, such as head shim or extra gaskets.

Well....Your sled might go higher, but I'm not sure about you though. I think you will lose control and fall off and be laying in the snow as your sled goes up the hill !!!!!! ha ha ha .I might just ride my spare sled (M7)and kick you butt!!!
