Hm Turbos has our ignition retard system available with our Dragon kits and will be available soon for the new Pro kits that we build. We tested the system last year on a Dragon at 10 psi of boost with great success. At 3200 feet elevation at 28 degrees it gained us 150 rpm's on the tach. Performance was increased and it did allowed us to drop back on the octane level of the fuel, saving the riders money on race gas. The system only retards the ignition timing a preset amount when you are under a predetermined boost level.
We are currently adapting the system over to the Pro for testing. I have done this for years on carburated sleds, before fuel injection, with great success on the RMSHA circuit and will offer it as a feature on the turbo kits from HM TURBOS.
