Boost controller with Aerocharger

Anyone running one or tried it? Not a big fan of changing springs and shims.

The only thing i would be worried about is slowing down the signal to the veins, which hurts your in-out-in throttle response because. If the veins don't get the signal to "snap shut" fast enough when you let out of the throttle, you've got a lazy turd when you hammer it again.(at least to lazy for us.) That's why your kit has a 1/4" control line instead of the standard 1/8", its all about the throttle response:face-icon-small-ton. Not saying that it wont work but that could be a potential issue.

Thats great info. The way I have it set up, I can remove the boost t quite easy.

I did notice that this sled does not recover very well after dumping the throttle from full boost. Not sure if that's a 2 stroke thing, or if it's something with my fuel management. The fuel management is mine though, so I do not by any way hold HM responsible if this sled runs poorly at all. I am actuall very impressed with the kit, and how it runs. The slow recovery after a throttle chop concerns me a bit though.

NM-Usually a 2 Stroke falls on it's face after a blast on WOT because the fire is getting put out from too much air and not enough fuel. I have noticed the Aero setups we have built responded much better with on again and off again throttle by adjusting bottom end fuel settings, adjusting exhaust valves on the M series sleds with Garrett turbos and Boondocker boxes, and in 2 cases, by adding blowoff valves to the Aero kits, which to me seemed redundant at that time but proved otherwise. I can't remember if your kit already had one when I saw you on Sunday at Boulder.

Edit: I just remembered there is a kit out there that uses Blowoffs on Aeros because I believe I saw it at the Boise show.

That is interesting. I thought it was from maybe too much fuel in the intake, and it couldn't clean it up fast enough.
I can add all kinds of fuel in the bottom end and try it. I can add fuel based on vac/boost pressure, and rpm. I will give it a try. If you don't completely dump it, then it is fine.
This kit does have a Bosch BOV mounted to the airbox.

We had the same problem in the begining of this season, Shane did about a 2 week binge on programing and testing untell he had it sorted out, something in the fuel map, not sure what or why but it doesn't seem to be a problem any more. Just got a phone call from Shane half way through this post. He was testing his pro today at Lolo pass 5500 feet elivation, 10psi, 155 camoplast, 75mph track speed in hard pack snow!!! in his words "this thing's a freakin' animal, i can hardly hang on" that comes from a guy who rode a turbo 800 edge with nitous in the RMSHA circuit.

He and I were talking tonight...he says his T-Pro at 6 pounds will walk all over his T-D8 at 8lbs.

That was in the early 2000's, long before there were turbos everywhere. What were you riding then?

If I'm not mistaken I think Shane's first turbo was during the spring 2005 race season. It was an IQ RMK with a 600 crate motor put in it. He had BossNoss on it as well.
I have pictures of it somewhere.
