Boondocking Gold Creek HD Vid from 12-31-09

Don't know if it's my 'puter or not, but couldn't get vid to play smoothly.

Thanks!!

Its a ContourHD1080p, used the fixed mount on the helmet. Set it to 720p at 60 frames per sec. So far I'm happy with it. Yesterday's ride I aimed it a bit lower so you can see the sled more. 1 battery lasts about 1.5 hours, 16GB chip lasts about 3.5 hours.

For those it doesn't work well, what type of computer, internet browser? I signed up on that page so it'd work for everyone, like to figure it out.

the contour is a killer cam.. local guys too... i like helmet cam footy.. but i wish sometimes people would take it off and point and shoot too...

good vid tho! thanks!

click the "hd on" to turn it off

It will play a lot smoother and the quality looks the same.

Cool vid

That worked for me. Cool vid. Been thinking about getting on of the Contours some day. But putting money into sled mods first. Someday.

That was playing at normal speed though wasn't it? Maybe you were just fooling around with the camera, but in case you don't know if you don't plan on slowing down the footage there is no advantage to 60fps other than filling up your card faster. Eyes can only see at 30fps, the point of 60fps is to have super smooth slow-mo.

Looks pretty good though, want to see it on a nice sunny day!

Yeah, I will try some of the 1080p footage, but don't have a BluRay burner to playback 1080p on the TV, I stream 1080i HD from a MacMini at the moment. I thought the 720p@60 had better video and like the option to slo-mo. The 720p60fps and 1080p30fps take the same space, bought 2 mem chips so I don't run out, but two batteries run out before I run out of a 16GB chip, gets to 14GB.

I'll post my vids till you guys yell at me to stop. :D I thought it makes for a good ride report on snow conditions.

great video ! nice to see video of our ridding areas ! i cant wait to get up and ride ! that helmet cam is cool ! makes me feel like im ridden ! thanx !
