Boondockers yz450f re-engineered

The turbo worked good but not great. I made a few changes since this is a dedicated snowbike. Had to re-engineer the strut and ditched the IC. Spools up much quicker now

I still am waiting for my turbo thermal cover and am building an exhaust cover out of 4" stainless to orotect my leg. The exhaust is going to get another 6" added that will angle it in front of the track and will be soooo much quieter.

Is that a mountain bike crank arm and pedal I see in one of your pics...? How do you like that?

I hope I didn't derail your thread, but that is sweet having pedals, I come from a mtn bike background and never did really like the foot pegs. I think those pedals would be awesome!

Oh and that turbo project looks sweet too [emoji106]!

Drops them down a bit too which feels more natural.

Man I thought I was the most out of box thinker but not anymore. I love the under slung strut rod! Rear mounting the turbo is a must Imo (too much weight to front Mount) and the yz exhaust makes it even better. I don't think intercooling is worth the weight either on a low boost snow bike. People that live in the mountains don't realize how much power you can make at 5psi. Sea level hp is pretty impressive to me on any machine.
