Hey guys, I just got word from one of our newest sponsors that they will be offering a powdercoating deal from now till the end of the month. Our buddies at Utah Powder Coatings in Orem will be offering 30% in stock colors from now until Dec. 31st. All you have to do is call or go to their shop and mention that you heard of the deal from Boondockers.

I know it's a little late in the season, but with the limited snow we've had it's the perfect opportunity to get some rails, bumpers, a-arms or just about anything else on the sled styled out with some color.

Here's the Facebook link:

Powder Coating A-arms... ... I 've been wondering if you can bake them in the oven with the bushings and what not that are in them. I'm definitely doing my rails as I am shipping home a 163" skid as we speak. I want to do my A arms as well.
Shed some light on me please regarding PC'ing A arms.

Ha no photoshop there. The camera was wayyy out of focus so it looks weird blurry, and I increased the saturation because the day was soo overcast.

Here's another pic of a standstill photo so you can get an idea.

Unfortunately, you must remove all bushings. On the Polaris they remove super easy. The plastic ones come out by hand or with a screwdriver. The spherical end bushing on the lower arm is simply removed by taking off the C clip and hammer the bushing out gently with a socket or use a small bottle jack press.

Cool thanks, also, what about the rear skid parts that you've had powder coated.

Give me some details if you would please as to what work was involved to get those rear skid parts PC'ed.

Thanks!

First thing I'd say is an impact gun. You can do it without it (I don't have one) but it's hard. I pull the rear wheels off, then drop the whole skid out of the sled. Then you can sit down and take it apart piece by piece. It's not really that hard to do. The main arms are really the most important as they are the most visible, but I also coat the piece in between the rear wheels, ice scratchers, as well as a couple other aluminum support bars that go in between the rails for rigidity. Hope this helps!! :)

I went down to Utah Powder Coatings today and found out that they've already had several snowesters take them up on their Boondockers Powder Coating deal. There are only a few days left to get on board. I'm picking my parts up on Friday!!!! :)

Oh and just so everyone knows they are only there from 9-3 this week.

Pray for snow peeps!!!
